The process begins by completing our family inquiry form. Once received, a member of the Ohio Nanny Family Collective team will reach out to schedule an introductory phone call. During this call, we will learn more about your family, walk you through the OHNFC placement process, discuss fees, answer your questions, and begin gathering details about the type of professional nanny support your family is seeking.

Choosing a nanny is a meaningful decision, and our process is designed to feel thoughtful, supportive, and never rushed.

Once your family chooses to move forward with OHNFC, we will have you complete our Family Questionnaire. This allows us to gather the finer details of your family’s needs, schedule, parenting style, household rhythm, expectations, and what you are hoping to find in a professional nanny.

After reviewing your questionnaire, we will schedule a virtual or in-person family interview to discuss your needs more deeply, answer questions, and help clarify what the right fit looks like for your home.

Ohio Nanny Family Collective takes a hands-on approach when reviewing potential nanny candidates. Before candidates are added to our roster, they complete a thoughtful review process that may include an initial intake phone interview, nanny application and questionnaire, resume review, certification review, credential review, social media review, virtual or in-person interview, and reference check.

Our goal is to introduce families to candidates who feel aligned with their needs, expectations, and the level of professionalism required for private in-home care.

Once a nanny has been selected for your position, OHNFC will help finalize the offer by completing the background check process.

The background check includes a multi-county criminal record search, multi-state criminal record search, 50-state violent offender registry review, driving record review, and 10-panel drug screening.

Once completed, OHNFC will advise of all findings prior to the final contract being completed. A copy of the background check can also be provided to your family for your records at no additional cost.

A $350 non-refundable administrative fee is due to begin the OHNFC search and placement process. This fee allows us to begin the detailed work of learning your family’s needs, preparing your search, and starting the placement process.

The $350 non-refundable administrative fee is credited toward the total placement fee due.

Every search is unique. The timeline can vary based on your family’s schedule, location, compensation, required experience, availability needs, and the current candidate market.
