Position Details
This warm and active New Albany family is seeking a nanny to join their loving, respectful household. They enjoy spending quality time together outdoors, exploring new places, and ending the day with cozy movie nights at home. Their family values kindness, laughter, mutual respect, and creating a home environment where each child feels understood and supported. Their children each have unique and wonderful personalities. One child is energetic, curious, and loves asking questions, exploring hands-on activities, and staying engaged with the world around them. The other child is creative, thoughtful, and enjoys quieter moments with books, drawing, and imaginative play. This family would love to welcome a nanny who appreciates each child as an individual and can bring a calm, steady, and encouraging presence into their daily rhythm.
The ideal nanny for this role is neurodivergent affirming, patient, kind, organized, and able to balance warmth with structure. This position is a wonderful fit for someone who understands the importance of creating engaging, age-appropriate activities while also respecting a child’s need for quiet time, personal space, and emotional regulation. The family is seeking a nanny who can support both children in a loving, thoughtful, and understanding way while helping the household routine run smoothly. Responsibilities include safely transporting the children to and from school, keeping them on schedule, assisting with day-to-day organization, and creating a stable, nurturing, and dependable environment at home. A nanny who is calm, proactive, emotionally aware, and confident supporting children’s growth, independence, routines, and individual needs would thrive with this family.
Position Note: This thoughtfully structured role follows a split schedule during the school year, Monday–Friday, 7:00–11:00 AM and 2:30–5:30 PM, while both children are in school. Summer hours transition to 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, offering a seamless seasonal schedule within a well-organized private household.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years professional experience within the nanny or childcare industry
- Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United State
- Valid drivers license, proof of insurance and clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 professional childcare references.
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification is required for placement.
- All nanny applicants must be willing to submit to a complete background check, driving record review, 10 panel drug test and social media review.
- Up to date on all vaccinations including yearly flu and Covid-19 vaccinations (based on family preference)
