About the Role
A Warm, Laid-Back, and Family-Centered Lancaster, OH Family is Seeking a Part-Time Night Nanny!
Children: One infant (newborn arriving August 2026)
Salary: $30+ per hour based on experience and duties
Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00pm–6:00am (schedule may vary slightly), approximately 3 months postpartum
Location: Lancaster, OH
Start Date: August 2026
This laid-back Lancaster family is excited to welcome a night nanny as they prepare to grow their family. They lead busy lives with work, but make a point to prioritize quality time together whenever they can. Their home is warm and down-to-earth, with a genuine love for simple joys; reading, board games, cooking, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time in nature. They also enjoy family-friendly outings like trips to the zoo. They currently have a 2-year-old who is thoughtful and observant at first, then quickly warms up; an easygoing little one who loves books, music, toys, and outdoor adventures. Overall, this is a friendly, relaxed household that values connection, calm routines, and a supportive environment as they head into the newborn stage.
The family is primarily seeking an experienced night nanny for three nights per week during the postpartum period (approximately three months), with typical hours of 10:00pm–6:00am. The ideal candidate is dependable, gentle, and confident caring for newborns overnight; handling night feedings, diaper changes, soothing, and helping the baby settle back to sleep with calm consistency. Support with washing bottles and cleaning pump parts (if pumping is used) is also needed. While the family plans to follow a Babywise-style feeding approach, they value flexibility and responsiveness to the baby’s needs rather than an overly rigid routine. Because sleep and recovery for both parents will be the priority during these shifts, they are looking for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and keep overnight care running smoothly. The home does not have a spare room, but a couch is available in the living room for rest between wake-ups. Above all, they want a steady, trusted presence who will bring reassurance, warmth, and excellent newborn care during this important season.
